A Field Guide for Living: A Series Through Romans

A Field Guide for Living: A Series Through Romans

Series Start Date: May 14, 2023

The book of Romans is considered by many to be the apostle Paul’s greatest written work. A quick count reveals that the word “spirit” appears 22 times in Romans 8. This is the most that word appears in any chapter of the English Bible! Martin Luther said that all Christians should read and memorize Romans daily because it was that important. It was John Wesley whose heart was strangely warmed on Aldersgate listening as someone read Martin Luther's preface to the book of Romans. Many have said the Gospels give us the story of Jesus and that this book gives us what we believe in Jesus. The letter to the Romans is where we will find ourselves as a church beginning May 14th listening to the Spirit guiding us. A new series titled 'A Field Guide for Living: A Study
Through Romans'. Join us in person or online https://www.facebook.com/MineralSpringsMethodistChurch Go to series page

                Miraculous Birth

Series Start Date: November 27, 2022

Even as we look back and
celebrate the birth of Jesus in a humble stable in Bethlehem, we also look
forward to anticipating the second coming of Christ as the fulfillment of all that
was promised by his first coming.

This year we will look at the Miraculous Births throughout the scriptures and
listen as God reminds us of Advent themes culminating to the Hope of the
Miracle Birth to the Virgin Mary, Jesus the Messiah. You do not want to miss
one Sunday as we will be looking at Isaac, Samuel, John the Baptist, and
Jesus. By looking at the journey of uncertainty we find hope in Advent. Go to series page

                        Unlikely Pairings

Series Start Date: May 1, 2022

When you look at the cast of characters that Jesus called to serve in ministry you quickly see that this is an unlikely group of people working with Jesus. In those pairings, Jesus does some incredible work in and through the people he has called. Today the church has 'unlikely pairings' a group of people with diverse backgrounds and ways of looking at the world. Yet the same God that called for the 12 disciples calls forth people like you and me to work collaboratively for change in the world. Without you, there is no church. In this series, we will look at the disciples of Jesus as our backdrop to uncover the move of God in the church. Go to series page
