Scouts at MSMC

The Boy Scouts program of Mineral Springs was founded in 1942, and is sponsored and supported by the Mineral Springs Methodist Church, with many volunteers and leaders who give their time to serve these children. This very active Boy Scouts program, beginning with Cub Scouts, has produced 42 Eagle Scouts since 1941,

Weekly Meetings

Cub Scouts, Ages 5 – 10: Mondays, Time  6.30 – 8.00 Christian Life Center 

Boy Scouts, Ages 11 – 18: Thursdays   7.00 – 8.30 Christian Life Center

Community Service Projects

The Scouts are very actively involved in community service projects, such as:

  • Mineral Springs Festival
  • Roadside Cleanup
  • Union County Camporee
  • Wreaths Across America

Campouts and Special Events

Campouts and other special events are part of the Scouting life at MSMC. Scouts have hiked 50 miles on the Applachian Trail, both sides of Cumberland Island, camped out on Gettysburg Battlefield, kayaking and canoeing in many rivers and rapids, and visited most of the State Parks.
